Multi axis Turntable
Automate your scanning process with multi axis rotary and linear tables!

🟢 Multi axis turntables allow you to handle calibration and scanning process automatically. Particularly it helps you in scanning small objects.
🔴 Scanning small objects (exp: 5mm) without turntable is very difficult and almost impossible, because you can’t stick any makers on small objects and your cameras FOV is completely focused on the object itself, so you may have major issues for scanning small objects without rotary table.
🟢 When you use a turntable, there is no need to use markers for alignment anymore. Just place the object on the turntable and click on the scan button to start scanning process, leave scanner for a while to complete the scan and give you the final 3D model.
Modified version of FlexScan3D supports many standard and customized turntables.
✅Arduino Turntable Controller for DIY rotary tables
✅ARISA Turntable
✅Revopoint Turntable
✅HP Turntable
We have developed ARISA turntable as a two axis turntable based on Arduino UNO module. It is very easy to assemble and very accurate. It is optimized for macro scanning, scanning objects in size of 1mm~100mm.
The ARISA turntable is available as a DIY kit solution, as well ad a pre-assembled device. You can purchase it directly from us.

Beside of ARISA turntable, we’ve provided an Arduino based controller for all DIY turntables, compatible with any timing motors (stepper or servo), any stepper drivers and any mechanical design.
You can design your own rotary table for your SLS scanner setup and couple it with modified version of FlexScan3D using our Arduino based controller! a full instruction and guide is available for making turntable and start automatic calibration and scanning on it.

This is a pre-assembled Turntable with full compatibility with modified version of FlexScan3D. Its controller can support up to 4 axis, but the mechanical design is for 2 axis control.
This table has a stable engineered mechanical design. it has zero out-of-center parameter for both axis, so it guarantees to keep the object in focusing range of cameras and projector.
we can customize this table for holding any object sizes and dimensions.

Arduino based controller, a good solution for DIY turntables.
You can use this Arduino controller with any shape of turntable and any stepper motors and any stepper drivers. You have a wide range of options.
It connects to PC via USB port. you can use a USB hub for connecting all cameras and Turntable Controller and Hardware Trigger to PC. so your scanner occupies only one USB port of your PC!
Revopoint Dual Axis Turntable

| Revopoint Turntable | |
|---|---|
| Number of supported Axis | 2 |
| Active Axis | 2 |
| Rotation Angle Range | Axis1: 360 / Axis2: +-30 |
| Acceleration Control | No |
| Speed Control | Yes |
| Full Automatic Calibration | Yes |
| Full Automatic Scanning | Yes |
| GUI Manual Control | Yes |
| Power Supply Voltage/Current | 12v/1A |
| Connection Interface | Bluetooth |
Modified Version of FlexScan3D support single and dual axis Revopoint turntable as a ready-to-use solution.
It connects to the computer via Bluetooth, and there is no need to install any special driver for it. it is Plug & Play.
in modified version of FlexScan3D, the Revopoint Rotary is completely supported and you can control it via GUI manually, or you can drive it via scripts for automatic calibration and scanning process.
Dual axis Revopoint turntable has a big out-of-center factor on its second axis, so it is not the best solution for scanning very small objects from close distance. You can use this turntable for scanning objects in middle range of size (50mm~400mm).
HP/David Turntable

| HP/David Turntable | |

HP/David 3D scanner is a an old 3D scanner and many of users already had this hardware, so I added support for this turntable in modified version of FlexScan3D.
Just plug HP turntable to your PC and open the modified version of FlexScan3D, it natively supports the turntable and you can start using it.
Out-Of-Center factor

Out-Of-Center (eccentricity) means the offset between axis of rotation and the center of the object.
for scanning, always it is better to keep eccentricity as low as possible, specially for macro scanning, low eccentricity is critical.
Valid focusing range for cameras and projector is a percentage of distance between scanner and the object. This relation is not a linear relation, for example usually focusing range for a scanner-object distance of 1000mm is about 350mm~400mm (35%~40%), and for scanner-object distance of 400mm is about 40mm~60mm (10%~15%).
If your turntable has a big eccentricity factor, specially in macro scanning, by tilting the table, distance between scanner and object change hugely and it rides your object out of focusing range of cameras and also out of calibration range of your scanner.
So always try to have turntable with zero or lowest possible Out-Of-Center (eccentricity) factor.
Revopoint turntable has a big Out-Of-Center (eccentricity) factor, so it is not a good option for scanning small objects.
We’ve designed ARISA turntable as an engineered turntable with zero Out-Of-Center factor and optimized it for macro scanning. So follow our design and if you are interested you can purchase it as a pre-assembled solution from us.
